I get angry as thunder and stubborn sometimes
and that doesn't make me appealing
my friends put up with me and I don't know why
but we share the same loving feelings

and I wish I'd be more like my mother sometimes
she turned out to be pretty strong
the world's handed her cards that I couldn't have played

but people some to think that I'm funny

or tales worth remembering

'till the lungs in our chest have caved in
and our throats have dried out
